He cited his experience on the PP and said that Desharnais "skated well and made some some good plays with the puck."
Vigneault spoke before the game about Desharnais' experience and his versatility as a player.
Desharnais said that he will do whatever is asked of him and that he has to earn his minutes. (Newsday)
Vigneault said on Thursday about Desharnais that he protects the puck well, has "very good" speed and that he liked the "dimension" that Desharnais brought.
