James Dolan was on ESPN Radio with Michael Kay and Don La Greca to discuss the Charles Oakley situation and was asked about his involvement with the Rangers.
Dolan said "Glen and I and Jeff talk quite often and I don't seem to have had a negative impact there. They still like me to come and talk and give me my opinions. Glen still does have the final say of all matters Rangers."
When Alain Vigneault signed his extension recently he said, "my relationships here with the people from Jeff, who is my immediate boss, to my staff, to Jim Dolan who I get along with real well."
Dolan said that Gorton was not someone that the Rangers wanted to lose and that he was "fine" with Glen Sather's decision to promote Gorton to GM in the summer of 2015.
Dolan and Sather have a relationship dating back to when Sather was hired in 2000 and Dolan once gave Sather a 10-year AA sobriety chip that Sather would return when the Rangers win the Stanley Cup.
