5:02PM: On Fast, Alain Vigneault said today, "2-3 weeks, upper body injury. A big part of our PK, a guy who we can slot from fourth line to top line depending on who we are playing. Competitive player and it's a loss for us and an opportunity for some other guys who have been wanting to play and want a bigger role to step up and get the job done for us."
1:13PM: Fast is out 2-3 weeks with an upper body injury, according to EJ Hradek.
12:02PM: The Rangers are saying Fast has an upper body injury.
11:44AM: Jesper Fast may have separated his shoulder last night against Washington and is believed to be out indefinitely. (Brooks)
Near the middle of the third period last night Fast was hit by Alexander Ovechkin and was in pain and went directly to the Rangers locker room.
Alain Vigneault said recently of Fast, "he is such a hard worker, such a competitive kid. Every time he is on the ice he is puck battling, blocking shots. He is really appreciated by his teammates because of that effort and the little things that he does battle level wise. Really solid player." (NYR)
