Fast took a hit from Anton Volchenkov in the second period against Nashville and did not return.

Fast took a hard hit by Anton Volchenkov. Fast went into the boards and his leg swung open and Volchenkov hit him.
He went to the locker room with medical trainer Jim Ramsay and looked to be in discomfort while flexing his leg.
Fast played 5:57 in the game, 3:45 in the first and 2:12 in the second.
Dave Maloney said that all-year long the coaches have been really high on Fast and since he came back from the AHL he has done a lot of "good things" and is "tenacious" around the puck.
Joe Micheletti said that Fast is very trustworthy with the puck and that he is now comfortable on the ice.
