Jimmy Vesey had a career high 7 shots on goal and a career high 8 shot attempts against Chicago on Tuesday night.
Vesey has 11 shots on goal in the past three games since returning from a one game absence due to an upper body injury.
After the game last night, Joe Micheletti said that Vesey's play sent a message to the coaches that he wanted more ice time.
Micheletti said that Vesey played a "big man's game, a courageous game" and went hard to the net and made plays.
He played 3:34 in the first period, 3:03 in the second period and 8:09 in the third period.
Alain Vigneault said that Vesey had a good game, had his legs and was taking pucks to the net.
Vigneault said that Vesey was especially strong in the last half of the game but "unfortunately" wasn't able to finish.
Vesey told Larry Brooks that he only spent one game in his career at Harvard as a Right Wing and that he never played the point on the PP in college. (NY Post)
