In the past 20 games, JT Miller has two goals, 4 assists and a minus 1 rating with 21 shots on goal and an average of 16:37 per game.
In the prior 56 games to that stretch, Miller had 18 goals and 28 assists.
Larry Brooks wrote on Monday that Miller has "stalled, if not regressed" a bit over this last stretch and henhas been making similar "enormous risk/no-reward" type of plays that had him in and out of the lineup and up and down to the minors earlier in his career. (NY Post)
On Sunday Alain Vigneault said that when Miller, along with Hayes, struggle it's because of their decisions with the puck.
He noted though that there is a dilemma he faces between wanting those players to make high percentage plays and also to have freedom offensively.
Vigneault said of the two, "hopefully with more games played and experience they are going to figure it out, they are very smart people and players."
Miller was a topic on the most recent edition of the Rangers Blue Line Podcast.
