Alain Vigneault said on breakup day, "I think that Yands had a good season. I understand what he can bring. He is a highly skilled player that takes risks sometimes, you need to live with the risks sometimes. Defensively he was good, he was better than what he had played in the past in Phoenix. Really well respected by his teammates, real good guy to have in the room. He is a tough decision moving forward here."

Adam Rotter: I think that Yandle would like to stay and that at a certain price the Rangers would like to keep him. That certain price though is probably going to be lower than Yandle will be able to get as likely the top defenseman on the market. Yandle is very likely going to be able to get 6-7 years and at least $6 million per season.
