12/6: In the past two games, Keith Yandle has 10 shots on goal, 5 shot attempts that were blocked and 3 shot attempts that missed the net.
Yandle told Al Trautwig during the second period against the Avalanche that he is just starting to feel comfortable and that the last few games have "felt pretty good.
Joe Micheletti said that Yandle has had to get used to a different role with the Rangers than he had with the Coyotes and that "it has taken him a while to settle in." (MSG)
Joe added that it seems like Yandle wants the puck and is comfortable making plays offensively and defensively. He said that against the Avalanche Yandle had more energy than anyone else. (MSG)
Earlier in the year Yandle said that he puts a lot of pressure on himself to help the team. (NY Post)
Pierre McGuire and Eddie Olczyk praised Yandle's game during Wednesday's game against the Islanders.
Adam Rotter: He has been really active and all over the ice in the past few games and looking a lot more like the offensive threat he was brought here to be. Will he still turn the puck over at times and have issues in his own zone, yes, but that is a lot more forgivable when he is constantly making things happen for the Rangers with the puck. If he can start turning more of these chances into offense for the Rangers that will only make things better for everyone involved.
