Kevin Hayes said earlier this season that while he admits to being a "pass-first type of player," he would love to shoot and score more because "goal-scorers get paid in this league." (NY Post)

In the 44 games before the All-Star break, Hayes had 11 goals on 101 shots (10.9%) and in the 31 games after the All-Star break he has 14 goals on 69 shots (20.3%).
Hayes has 25 goals this season, 8 more than his previous career high and is shooting 14.7% this season.
He is a career 13.1% shooter through his four seasons and 309 games.

- He extended his point streak to five games (four goals, one assist) and his goal streak to three games.
- Hayes has tallied a point in eight of the last 10 games, and he has recorded nine points (five goals, four assists) over the span.
- In addition, he has registered 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists) in 32 games since he returned to the Rangers' lineup on Jan. 25, and he leads the Rangers in goals and points over the span.
Hayes averaged 16:49 per game prior to the All-Star break and is averaging 18:15 since.
