6/2/15 | 5:25PM: Alain Vigneault said on ESPN Radio:
- "both Glen and I had long conversations with Marty and Marty is a proud person and future Hall of Famer. Right now what is best for him and ourselves is to stay quiet a bit, hold on and let him think this through and once he comes up with why he thinks this season and playoffs went the way they did, we will re-sit down and talk. Right now it's just easier to let time go by and emotions will get back to where they need to be and we can all go and focus on next year."
St. Louis that he wants to play but he isn't sure what direction the Rangers are going in. (MSG)
Alain Vigneault said yesterday, "I had a real long talk with Marty, myself and Jeff Gorton. Marty has been a great player on this team leadership wise, example wise. He wants to take some time at this moment to analyze this season and see what he wants to do. That said, from our end we need to know where the cap is going to be. It sort of works out perfectly for both sides, he is going to think about it and we will find out where we are money wise and then go from there."
St. Louis added, "I have been blessed to play parts of two years here, for a great organization and we will see where that takes me. To play for the Cup last year and be one win away this year, it's an experience i will never forget."(MSG)
