In the NY Post, Larry Brooks writes that Chris Drury is leaning towards accepting a buy out from the Rangers.
Brooks says that the Rangers must place Drury on waivers before Tuesday at noon to be able to buy him out before Thursday's deadline.
The team will have a cap hit of $3.7 million for Drury, but save $3.3 million this season.
Drury would have a cap hit of $1.6 million next season.
So when it all comes down to it, Drury is likely to take the buyout. All those LTIR talks can away, as can my headache when trying to explain it to people, and the Rangers free up $3.3 million in cap space.
We will know tomorrow or Tuesday whether or not the Rangers will go through with buying him out.
