Ondrej Pavelec was pulled after the Rangers allowed 3 goals in the first 7 minutes of the second period.
Pavelec allowed 5 goals on 20 shots.
Henrik Lundqvist replaced Pavelec in net and while getting ready he skated by the Rangers bench speaking to his teammates.

John Giannone said that the message was Lundqvist telling his teammates to pick their heads up, and not to quit with all the time left. (MSG)
Adam Rotter: Just an absolutely dreadful performance by the Rangers, not just defensively but effort wise. The Islanders have been faster, winning more battles and outworking the Rangers at such a level that I'm not even sure the Rangers are the second best team on the ice. Very little, if any of this, I feel, should be on Ondrej Pavelec. You watch the goals scored on him and it doesn't seem as if there is a Ranger within 5 feet. This has been a snowball situation like the early part of the year and the Rangers couldn't stop it.
