Chris Kreider, Vitali Kravtsov and Nils Lundkvist joined Bruce Beck on WNBC's Sports final on Sunday and said:

  • Nils Lundkvist on being drafted, "It feels unbelievable to be part of the Rangers. When they said my name at the draft I couldn't believe that it happened, I'm really excited to see what happens and looking forward to prospect camp and next season. I'm really glad."
  • Vitali Kravtsov on being drafted, I'm really excited to be in New York, great city, great fans, great team. This is my dream."
  • Chris Kreider on what he remembers about the draft, "It's definitely a whirlwind, a fun few weeks where you can look back on and smile. Work comes right after the draft, prospect camp this week and it's kind of trial by fire because they haven't been on the ice and have been focusing on the draft and combine and get thrown right into it. It's a fun experience and something they should try to enjoy and soak up as much as they can."
  • Chris Kreider, on building a solid foundation, "it's huge as an individual and as an organization. It's something we will be harping on moving forward and focusing on every day."
  • Nils Lundqvist on his skills, "My best skill is my hockey sense and can play in both ends, even if I am not the biggest or strongest, I can think out what other players will do and think and one step forward. I think I can play in deciding moments and I have great hockey sense and great skating."
  • Vitali Kravstov on playing in the KHL, "It helped me for the NHL and play with bigger and stronger guys."
  • Chris Kreider on when they were their age, "I was wide eyed and bushy tailed and it's a big jump to go where I was playing to playing college and playing against Men, 20-24 and these guys have been playing against actual men and adults and had a ton of success I think it will help them going forward. I can't speak to the level that they played at, but I think the future looks pretty bright for the Rangers."
  • Chris Kreider on how he is feeling, "I'd say I am 110% compared to last season. It was a weird season for a lot of different reasons. Some scary stuff but at the same time I wouldn't have it any other way, really good learning experience and came out the other side a lot better as a person and hockey player."
  • Nils Lundkvist on Henrik, "he is so big in Sweden, it's maybe as big here as in Sweden. I am really looking forward to see the town and see him."
  • Vitali Kravstov, "I am very excited to be in New York, Let's Go Rangers."
