6/5/18 | Craig Custance listed Vlad Namestnikov 14th on his "big board" of players who might be moved this summer. (The Athletic)
Custance noted though that Namestnikov's spot on the list is more of a "placeholder for any number of Rangers" that could be moved. (The Athletic)
He writes that a source told him it is "unlikely" that the Rangers start next season with all four pending arbitration RFAs, Namestnikov, Ryan Spooner, Kevin Hayes and Jimmy Vesey.

Custance notes that the belief is that the Rangers are "open for anything" and may no be set on moving "one particular guy." (The Athletic)
Larry Brooks wrote in the NY Post on Tuesday that the Rangers are "expected to be about as aggressive in the trade market" as they were around the trade deadline. (NY Post)
Adam Rotter: The Rangers are going to make some more moves and a lot of different names are going to be mentioned. Outside of Henrik Lundqvist, I expect that the Rangers are going to get calls on all of their players and not just the obvious ones like Spooner, Namestnikov and Mats Zuccarello. Whether the Rangers are willing to trade any of those players remains to be seen and while it seems unlikely that guys like Mika Zibanejad, Brady Skjei and Chris Kreider could go, I'm sure their names will come up in the rumor mill. I thought that Vesey and Hayes were likely to stay anyway, unless contract talks go off the rails, and their past relationships with David Quinn probably help that. I think that one of Namestnikov or Spooner will be traded to help the Rangers move up at some point in the draft and I wouldn't be shocked if both were moved in separate deals. One of the big questions is around Mats Zuccarello and the one-year he has left on his deal. Zuccarello is part of the "old core" but could still be an important player/leader for the Rangers moving forward. I'd guess that most of these questions will be answered in the next few weeks with the draft and that the rest will be answered in the first two weeks of July.
