Rangers G Henrik Lundqvist was named to the 2019 NHL All-Star Game for the fifth time in his career on Wednesday.
Lundqvist's five All-Star Game selections is now ranked second in Rangers history, with Ed Giacomin producing six over his career. Lundqvist, who was the only Rangers player to make it from the Metropolitan Division, was last named to an All-Star Game in 2012.
The 36-year-old has posted a 12-9-7 record with a 2.81 goals against average and .916 save percentage over 29 games this season. He has been named to the game's Three Stars in 13 of those games as well.
Lundqvist is also tied second among goalies with 22 games of 30 or more saves this season.
The San Jose Sharks' SAP Center will be the location for the All-Star Game that will take place on January 26.
