Mats Zuccarello had a goal and two assists, and the New York Rangers edged the Buffalo Sabres 4-2 on Tuesday night after nearly blowing a three-goal lead.
J.T. Miller sealed the victory with a backhander into an empty net with a minute left after he lost a glove on the rush up the right wing. Derrick Brassard and Jesper Fast also scored for New York, which extended its winning streak over Buffalo to nine.

- The Rangers did not have their best game tonight. They were great at the start of the second in scoring twice to make it 3-0 but then the Sabres started to come on. The Sabres dominated possession in the third but the Rangers held on to the one goal lead to pick up the two points.
- Mats Zuccarello bounced back nicely with a very strong game for the Rangers.
- Brady Skjei looks pretty good out there for a guy only playing in his fourth game. He isn't going to take a spot of anyone in the top-six right now but the Rangers seem like they are confident enough in him that they could use him if needed in the playoffs.
- Antti Raanta has been really good in relief of Henrik Lundqvist these past few games. He is playing at a very high level right now and sure looks like he could compete to be a starter somewhere next season.
