Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello is day-to-day with a strained groin, the team announced Thursday.
Head coach David Quinn indicated the 31-year-old will miss at least Friday's game in Detroit and Saturday's game in Columbus.
"We'll see when we get back," Quinn said, per the New York Post, "see how he looks then."
Zuccarello played a season-low 14:53 during Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
Prior to that, he had spent at least 17 minutes on the ice in each of New York's other 14 games.
Zuccarello has totaled three goals and seven assists through 15 games this season.
