After dropping their third game in their last four, the Rangers have called in some reinforcements from AHL Hartford in C Filip Chytil and D Ryan Lindgren.
Chytil played a full season with the Rangers in 2018, but he began the year with the AHL Wolf Pack. That quickly changed, though, as his nine points (three goals, six assists) is the type of production the Rangers are looking for at the NHL level.
Head coach David Quinn explained how Chytil isn't just productive, but he has accomplished what they sent him down there to do as well.
"One of the things we like about what Fil has done [is] he's gone down there and has been productive offensively, but he's also done the things that he needs to do to have success at this level," Quinn said.

Last season with the Rangers, Chytil produced 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) over 75 games. However, he was a minus-22 for the year.
As for Lindgren, he saw just five games of ice time with the Rangers last season, while spending most of his time with the Wolf Pack. In his games with New York, he was a minus-6 with no points and eight shots on net.
The 21-year-old has a couple points in the AHL this year with one goal and one assist, while playing with a plus-8.
