The New York Rangers have been valued at an NHL-high $1.5 billion, per Forbes.
This is the team's third consecutive year on top of the list. The Rangers' value rose 20 percent from last year while leading the NHL in revenue (246 million) and operating income (94 million).
The next-best team is the Toronto Maple Leafs, valued $100 million less than the Rangers at $1.4 billion. The Canadiens and Blackhawks are the last two teams valued at $1 billion or higher.
As for the other New York teams, the Devils are ranked 21st on the list with a $400 million valuation followed by the Islanders at $395 million.
The Rangers were purchased by the Dolan family back in 1997 for $195 million.
