Henrik Lundqvist said following last night's game that Alain Vigneault presented the Rangers with two choices:
- "To feel sorry for ourselves"
- "Go out and really try to make the most of this situation"
Lundqvist said that the Rangers were close to winning, one play away in the past two games, and that he likes how they played against the Islanders, "especially" in the second half.
Vigneault said after last night's game, "I'm a firm believer that if you prepare and work hard, things will fall into place. We battled back again tonight, it's not the first time we have done that this year, we got one point but we battled hard."
Brendan Smith said after the game, "I thought we played well, and we have to build on those. Like anything, if you flip the coin how many times it goes heads, it's going to come back tails. And we need it to come back in our favor, and it's going to. If we just keep that process, it's going to come our way and we're going to build on it." (NYR Game Notes)
