Del Zotto told the NY Post that he felt that his level of compete was there on Thursday and that he just needs to build off of it and keep moving his game forward.
He added that he can't take his spot in the lineup for granted and that he knows he needs to do whatever it takes to stay in the lineup.
Alain Vigneault said on Thursday that he had no complaints about how Del Zotto played and added, via the Daily News, that Del Zotto was not at fault on the second Dallas goal. Vigneault said that Derick Brassard should have gone to the point to cover Del Zotto's spot after the pinch.
According to Extra Skater, Del Zotto, at 5 on 5, was on the ice for 15 shot attempts for and 24 against.
