He says that Queens has 61 acres of open space across from Citi Field and next to the US Tennis Center, access to the LIRR, subway and major highways and has already been zoned and gone through the requisite testing.
The Islanders have a lucrative TV deal with MSG Networks that runs through 2030-31.
Queens is by far the best option for the Islanders. They can build an arena that will hold more people than Brooklyn and put it in a place where thousands already come to watch the Mets and tennis. The access to it from the LIRR and the subway will make getting to games incredibly easy and it's only 30 minutes away from where they play now. It makes the most sense.
