Now Commenting On:

At the Toronto Star, Kevin McGran looks at three ideas for how the NHL could realign their divisions for the 2012-13 season.

He suggests one option that would see all the teams in Canada play in the same division.

The idea would also include a "Sunshine" conference that would include Tampa Bay, Florida, Dallas, Anaheim, Phoenix, LA and San Jose.

The idea, to me, is really good in principle, but I seriously doubt that it happens. With Montreal and Vancouver on complete ends of the country it doesn't really make sense.

There have been rumors of a plan to move to four divisions from six.
