Tonight at the Nassau Coliseum the two teams meet again, for the final time, and the Isles are out for blood:
"That Rangers game is in the past, but we haven't forgotten it," Kyle Okposo said of the drubbing. "It's a big deal. We want to beat them."Dwayne Roloson is expected to start for the Isles again tonight.
“We know we can beat these guys. It’s just a matter of executing.” Josh Baily told Chris Botta
...Bring it, again. The Isles have to be expected to put forth a better effort but again, the Rangers need this game so badly for the playoffs that they need to match any level the Isles raise their game too.
After the jump, quotes from about a week ago from Isles tough guy, from Chris Botta, Trevor Gillies talking about Sean Avery and Brandon Prust
“I have a lot of respect for (Rangers fighter) Brandon Prust. I thank him. He’s the first guy to agree to go with me after I got turned down a few times in the other games. I’m not going to name names. But I want to say I have followed Brandon’s career in the minors and in the show and he’s an honest hockey player. We had a good fight.Avery will not play tonight.
“I’ve known Sean Avery since he was 15 and in junior hockey. He has a role that he plays and he plays it well. Avery’s a good hockey player. You know what you’re getting with him, so you have to deal with it accordingly without hurting your chances of winning the game.”
...I had these quotes up since the day Botta posted them in a tab on firefox. Completely forgot about them and then just realized I would add them to today's Isles post.
