11:44AM: Darren Dreger tweets that there was no match between the Rangers and Senators for Del Zotto and that the Senators made Colin Greening, Erik Condra and Eric Gyrba available in a deal. He says that the fit wasn't right for the Rangers with those players.
9:19AM: In the Ottawa Sun, Bruce Garrioch writes that the Senators have "certainly shown an interest" in Michael Del Zotto but that if the Rangers are looking for either Chris Neil or Marc Methot in return then it's a "non-starter."
Garrioch spoke with a league executive who said that a team looking to acquire a defensemen is going to have to part with some assets.

Neil and Methot were mentioned in the NY Post by Larry Brooks over the weekend.
Brooks said that if the Senators would part if Methot, then they should call the Rangers.
He added that Neil is the kind of player that any team in the East should want, including the Rangers, if they want to match up and beat the Bruins in a seven game series.
