2:58PM: Elliotte Friedman reports that Rick Nash reportedly suffered a knee injury in the Rangers Game 6 win over Montreal.
Nash reportedly wanted to keep things quiet even after the season ended because he didn't want to use the injury as an excuse.
He was a minus one in Game 6 but had 3 shots on goal, 2 shot attempts blocked, 1 shot that missed the net, 1 hit and 1 giveaway. He played 5:11 in the first, 4:56 in the second and 6:59 in the third.
In the Montreal series, Nash had 2 goals, 1 assist, a minus one rating, 23 shots on goal and an average of 17:51.
In the Ottawa series, Nash had 1 goal, 1 assist, a plus 2 rating, 21 shots on goal and an average of 18:59 per game.
Adam Rotter: The numbers from each series are pretty similar, despite the minute more per game against Ottawa, but Nash was a much different player earlier in the Montreal series. Against Montreal Nash was the Rangers top forward for a large stretch and against Ottawa he didn't always have that same jump or make the same impact. Injuries are part of the game and every player/team deals with them but if Nash is well enough to play then he should be well enough to make the kind of impact that the Rangers need.
