Hagelin said that on the play just prior to his goal, he came on the ice and Chris Kunitz was going for a change but instead tried to slash him. Hagelin was then open for Keith Yandle's pass and scored on a slap shot breakaway. (Post Gazette)
He said that in game two his collision with Crosby was because the Penguins captain "ran into me." (Post Gazette)
Hagelin had three hits in game three and was hit four times by the Penguins.
From the Rangers Game Notes on Monday, "Carl Hagelin tallied a goal, was credited with four hits, registered two shots on goal, and posted a plus-one rating in 17:17 of ice time. He leads the Rangers in playoff goals (11) since the start of the 2013 Playoffs. Hagelin is tied for second on the Rangers in goals (one), is tied for fourth in shots on goal (seven), and is tied for fifth in hits (eight) in the playoffs."
