The Rangers have allowed a total of five PP goals against in the past three games including three from LA in the second period on Sunday.
The Rangers were recently ranked 2nd in the league in penalty killing and as of early Monday they rank 12th.
The Kings had only scored one PP goal in the six games prior to last night.
Henrik Lundqvist spoke after the game and said, "you don't have to be very bright to see why we lost this one. We just couldn't get it done on the PK and I am a big part of that, I need to work even harder to find the puck." (NYR)
Alain Vigneault said that the Rangers PK had been a "real good weapon" for them recently but let them down on Sunday and it was the difference in the game.
Vigneault said that the Kings got players to the front of the net and the Rangers couldn't set up their coverage.
Marc Staal said that the PK is all about little details and that the Rangers were off in their "little details." (NYR)
He said that recently the Rangers have been able to kill off penalties and head in the other direction but that they couldn't against the Kings. (NYR)
