4:30PM: Vigneault said today (NYR):
- On Dan Boyle being sick and the lineup, "I'm not sure what I am going to do there. I've got two issues, Danny- the last time he was sick it lasted a few days if you remember and Marc Staal is going to be a father tomorrow morning, we are not quite sure how long that is going to take. Once that is sorted out we will figure the lineup out."
- Could a defenseman be called up, "I'm not going to call up a defenseman at this point. Marc's wife is being induced tomorrow morning. Last time it only took a couple of hours, I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be the same this time...it's out of my control and if by afternoon Dan isn't feeling better and Marc is still busy we will have to make the call."
12:37PM: Ryan McDonagh said that he is ready to play tomorrow night against Chicago while Alain Vigneault said that he wants to wait until tomorrow to make the final decision. (Gross)
Who comes out of the lineup for McDonagh depends on two factors: Dan Boyle missed practice today with the flu and Marc Staal's wife is giving birth tomorrow. (Zipay)
If Boyle is still sick and Staal is unavailable the Rangers could call up a defenseman from Hartford. (Cyrgalis)
