Alain Vigneault said that the Rangers worked hard against the Jets but "you gotta hit the net and bury some of those early chances," noting that doing so would have brought a different level energy and confidence to the Rangers.
Vigneault said that the Rangers may not have executed perfectly but the game would have been different, if like on the road, they were able to score early.
He noted that the difference in the game was that Winnipeg's best shooter put two "perfect" shots past "a goaltender on top of his game.
