In the past three games, JT Miller has not registered a point, is a minus two and only has 1 shot on goal while playing 15:10 against Boston, 16:07 against Edmonton and 18:20 against Chicago.

On 11/5, Alain Vigneault said that he has liked Miller's game and noted that he has been working to get better defensively and is also making high percentage plays with the puck.
He added, "we need him to be a force, he has tons of potential and is a veteran player and we need him to play like a true veteran and true leader on this team."
In his first 19 games last season, Miller had 7 goals and 10 assists with 43 shots on goal and an average of 15:23 per game.
Miller already has six games this season where he has not registered a shot on goal.
When Miller is on the ice at 5 on 5 the Rangers only have 47.5% of the shot attempts.
Adam Rotter: Miller has definitely had some moments and some really strong games, but his season has been uneven. He has at least one point in nearly half of the games he has played but the Rangers need him to be better and more consistent. Miller seems stuck on the Rangers third line for now with the top-six seemingly relatively set but this is a different third line than the one with Kevin Hayes and Michael Grabner that helped carry the Rangers for parts of last season.
