2/6/18 | 6:48PM: On TSN's Insider Trading, Bob McKenzie said "Nick Holden is a UFA defensemen who could be on the move by the deadline."
12:32PM: Darren Dreger, on TSN 1050, said that there is reportedly some interest in Rangers defenseman and pending UFA Nick Holden.
Holden has 3 goals and 6 assists this season with 101 hits, 61 blocked shots, 20 takeaways, 33 giveaways and an average of 18:59.
Last season he had 11 goals and 23 assists for the Rangers and played 20:37 per game.
Adam Rotter: I think Holden can be a valuable depth defensemen for a team in the playoffs and that he will likely generate more interest the closer we get to the deadline. Holden has been playing a role this season on the top pair that he is not suited for, but for a team looking for a 6/7 that skates well, has some experience and can step up to play more in a pinch, he could be a nice addition. The Rangers traded him for a fourth rounder but he had two more years left on his deal at the time. As a rental, if the Rangers could get at least a fourth round pick that would be a victory, but it could end up being a lower round pick.
