7:53PM: Alain Vigneault met with the media prior to tonight's game against Chicago and said (NYR):
On the PK and Lindy Ruff, "Lindy brought in some good ideas, it took us some time to to get accustomed to some of the trigger points that we want to establish as a team. Our PK has been good for quite some time, we are aggressive in the right situations and the combo of being aggressive and good saves makes for a good PK and that is what we are getting right now."
On Shattenkirk, "I can't pick one specific time. He was a work in progress, definitely in the back of his mind and understanding how his teammates, their tendencies and the way we like to go from offense to defense and defense to offense. Like any good player he keeps working at it and sooner or later the results come and he is an important part of our D group and playing well."
On the goalie situation, "I go back to what I mentioned at the beginning of the season and that I'm not picking a number for Hank, we are looking at the schedule, how he is playing and how he is feeling. Our schedule has been as easy as it could probably get and he is feeling well and playing well. We will play him and he is playing well. We will play him and figure it out as we move along."
