Alain Vigneault met with the media on MSG following the Rangers win over Colorado:
- On not looking ahead, "guys have to prepare and go on the ice and execute and there is no doubt that you have to be in the moment. Tonight, I look at a guy like Hank who hadn't played in a couple of days, more than a week, hadn't had a lot of practices and started off on a goal going through four bodies. Challenging but he responded real well. Step's line tonight gave us a real solid performance and in the third period we kept pushing the pace and were able to get a couple of more."
- On Kreider going to the dirty areas, "he has always gone there and some nights pucks are going to go off you and Kreids is a player who goes to the front of the net and always brings the puck there. He has a great net screen, is a tough forward to get out of that area. It's nothing new, he has always been doing it and tonight he got rewarded."
- On the response after 2-2, "yea, but those two goals, the first one they got a bounce. I thought we were in good shape and played a real good first period and battled hard in the second and third and got two points and that is what we had to do."
- On JT, "much higher percentage, trustworthy is the word that comes to mind these last two games. We have been telling him to shoot the puck and his first goal, coming down the wing is the old-time hockey Guy Lafleur coming down and just woofing one there. It was good for him and he has to continue to play that way."
