Vinni Lettieri said that he came to camp with the intention of making the Rangers and that he has never set a "low bar" for himself.
Lettieri said that the only thing he can control is his attitude and work ethic and that his goal of making the team has not changed. (NY Post)
Alain Vigneault said last week that he likes Lettieri's skating, skill, versatility and is someone who is making the Rangers "look twice" about potentially making the team.
Vigneault added that Lettieri has come in and "caught everyone's attention."
Larry Brooks writes that Lettieri has shown energy and an "impressive battle level" so far in the preseason. (NY Post)
Lettieri said that he looks to shoot the puck from all areas of the ice and that he only evaluates his game against his own expectations of himself. (NY Post)

Adam Rotter: Letteri has been impressive so far and will get another shot to make his case tonight against the Flyers. He was certainly not someone I thought of as more than an AHLer for this season but he has certainly opened up with his energy and skill. I don't know what his upside is but he for right now he is in a mix with Boo Nieves and Lias Andersson for at least one spot on the roster.
