Alain Vigneault met with the media on MSG following tonight's game and said:
- On the game, "you gotta hit the net and bury some of those early chances. That would have changed the whole dynamic of the game, more confidence, more energy. We don't score, we had a couple of good looks and on some of those we don't even hit the net and don't give yourself a chance on the shot or a possible rebound there. At the end of the night their best shooter had two real good, perfect shots on Hank. Hank was in great position, just an unreal shooter beat a goaltender on top of his game tonight."
- On Buchnevich in the third, "he missed a couple of shifts, that's all."
- So he wasn't hurt, "no."
- "I think I have said this quite a few times, we have been working hard. Execution might not have been perfect and tonight, I really feel that if we capitalize on one of those early chances, like we did on the road, it's a different game and at the end of the night we tried hard and battling back. It's a real good team that we played tonight and they were able to get their best shooter to get a couple of real good looks and then shut it down."
- Will Shattenkirk go on the trip, "with all of this snow stuff going on, I haven't really asked. All I know is that our flight was changed for tomorrow, we will leave tomorrow early and that is all that I know."
