12/15/17 | Alain Vigneault said that Zibanejad is still following the concussion protocol and that the plan is for him to practice with the team on Monday. (NYR)
12/14/17 | Sam Rosen noted during last night's broadcast that Mika Zibanejad skated on his own in New York on Wednesday.
Zibanejad had been skating for the last little while and practiced with the Rangers on Tuesday as a defensemen.
The Rangers were scheduled to practice today and Alain Vigneault said that Zibanejad was likely to see time at center during practice.
The Rangers changed their schedule and did not practice today but Brett Cyrgalis notes that Zibanejad continued to skate on his own today.
Without a full practice at center it is unlikely Zibanejad will return this weekend against LA or Boston.
The Rangers are next likely to practice on Monday and Zibanejad could possibly return on Tuesday against Anaheim or next Thursday against the Devils.

Adam Rotter: Next Tuesday and/or Thursday seem like they could be realistic options for Zibanejad to return as long as everything continues to head in the right direction. There was an outside shot of him playing this weekend but that was thrown out when the Rangers changed up the schedule and decided not to practice today. Zibanejad won't play until he has at least one full practice back in the middle and since that won't happen until after the weekend games, Tuesday looks like the next possible option.
