Alain Vigneault said on Thursday that he thinks JT Miller is more effective on the wing and that Miller lprefers to play on the wing.
Miller was skating at practice today with David Desharnais and Jimmy Vesey.
Vigneault said that Miller can get in on the forecheck, protect the puck and get in front of the net more while skating on the wing and the Rangers need him to do that.
Miller saw time at center in parts of the Rangers previous three games and said that he was feeling comfortable in the middle but had to make some adjustments.
He said earlier in the week that when he plays on the wing he can chip the puck in, make a big hit and that would get him "into the game." (NY Post)
Miller said that as a center he can't make those kinds of hits but could be physical in the defensive zone. (NY Post)
