The Rangers announced recently that Jeremy Brodeur would be part of their squad for the annual Traverse City Prospects tournament.
Brodeur is set to be the Rangers second goalie in Traverse City, behind Chris Nell, and said that he is hoping to showcase his ability and compete at this level. (Newsday)
Larry Brooks writes that Brodeur is with the team as a replacement for Brandon Halverson who is out for six-weeks with a knee injury. (NY Post)
Brodeur was 15-13-4 in the ECHL with a 3.15 GAA and .917 save percentage.
The Rangers begin the tournament tomorrow and skated today with the following line combinations (Matt Calamia):
- Gabriel Fontaine, Filip Chytil, Ville Meskanen
- Micheal Lindqvist, Lias Andersson, Jakob Stukel
- Tim Gettinger, Brett Howden, Ty Ronning
Libor Hajek is paired with Brandon Crawley, Ryan Lindgren is paired with Joey Keane and Sean Day is paired with Nico Gross.
