Red Bulls defender Gideon Baah will be out four-to-five months due to a broken tibia, head coach Jesse Marsch said on Monday, according to Eric Giacometti.
Update: Baah underwent succssful surgery on Monday night to repair the fracture, the Red Bulls announced.
"To have this happen to him is painful for everyone," Marsch said.
Baah, 24, suffered the injury during the Red Bulls' match on Sunday.
He had two goals in nine games (six starts) this season.
