As the Giants? motto has been all season, if someone gets hurt, the next guy steps up.

In Big Blue?s win over the Packers, running Andre Brown broke his fibula and will miss the remainder of the season.

First-round pick David Wilson will finally be given his second chance. He fumbled his second career carry and was relegated solely to kick return duties.

David Wilson was the breakout player in Week 3 of the preseason for the Giants. With starting RB Ahmad Bradshaw sitting out the game, Wilson made the most of his first start in the NFL.

David rushed for 49 yards on 5 attempts and added 2 receptions for 26 yards. This has lead many fans to call for Wilson as the starting running back over the injury plagued Bradshaw. The Giants' offense could sure use a dependable ball carrier and highly drafted rookie running backs haven't fared as poorly as many may think.

Drafted:?Fourth Round(126th Overall)Position:?Running BackHeight:?5'10''Weight:?204 pounds

2011 stats: 2 games played, 13 carries, 21 rushing yards, 1 reception, 7 yards, 1 fumble.

2011 Season Review: Anyone hoping the Jets found a mid-round rookie running back gem in Bilal Powell were left incredibly disappointed. Powell didn't even see first team snaps on offense until week 12 against the Broncos and that was by necessity with Ladainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene both ruled out for most of the game. Powell did nothing to impress on his 13 carries he received between the Denver game and garbage time versus Kansas City, and if anything he'll be best known for fumbling the ball on the goal line in Denver that was fortunately gobbled up by Matt Slauson for the Jets' only touchdown that game. Especially in comparison to recent Jets rookie successes at running back like Shonn Greene and Leon Washington, Bilal Powell looked incredibly lost.

According to Steiny's twitter, the Jets will be taking a look at running back John Griffin, who went undrafted out of UMASS, during a workout on Monday. Griffin was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals back in July, but was cut after training camp.

With LaDainian Tomlinson ailing, Shonn Greene failing to step up in year three, and Bilal Powell looking like a bust, it makes sense to bring someone fresh into the backfield. However, if the team is considering replacements at this point, it may consider shoring up the offensive line or adding a pass rusher or two.
