The Rangers have announced that Scott Stajcer has been sent back to Owen Sound and that Brendan Bell has been sent to Connecticut.

Tim Erixon is still with the team.

Wow, this sort of surprises me. I read the email that said that Bell was sent down and realized two seconds later that it meant that Erixon was sticking around. It is a good idea for him to stick, for at least the week, so that the team can still work with him. Maybe he has a spot and Jeff Woywitka will be the spare. We should find out tomorrow.

At NYRangers.com, they look at 2009 fifth round pick Scott Stajcer as part of their "20 Prospects in 20 Days" series.

Stajcer says that he learned a lot from Henrik Lundqvist by watching him in practice:

"I have seen him (Lundqvist) in practice, and he works really, really hard," said Stajcer. "And it shows in the games. Everyone says you practice like you play, and it's true. He really showed me how much work it takes to get to the NHL, and to be a starter, and to stay there."
He signed a contract with the Rangers in May.
