The majority of the post-NFL Scouting Combine mock drafts, prognosticators believe the New York Giants will add an offensive player with the 19th pick in the first round.

Of the five most recently updated mocks, three project New York to draft an offensive tackle. Both NFL.com's Bucky Brooks and CBS Sports' Will Brinson predict former Alabama tackle D.J. Fluker will be a member of Big Blue at the end of April.

Tony Pauline of USA Today Sports went down a similar path, though instead of Fluker he expects the Giants to bolster the offensive line with one of the combine's most impressive athletes, Lane Johnson of Oklahoma.

First up at the podium this morning at the NFL Scouting Combine was Giants GM Jerry Reese, who fielded questions ranging from the team's priorities, to its approach in free agency, to in-house solutions.

Earlier this week, former Colts DE Dwight Freeney -- a native New Yorker who grew up a fan of Big Blue -- said it would be a dream to suit up for the Giants.

This version of the 9-7 Giants didn't translate into a Super Bowl-bound time.

As the media gathers in New Orleans, New York Giants players are watching from their couches as a new king of the football world is crowned on Sunday.

Owner John Mara and GM Jerry Reese expressed their dismay with the team missing out on the playoffs this season. Obviously, change is on the horizon.

The Giants have not divulged the exact nature of OT Sean Locklear's injury. It was originally reported as a knee injury. WFAN had reported the injury as a broken leg. Either way, the veteran tackle will be undergoing surgery, effectively ending his season.

Locklear, in his first year with the Giants, was having a solid season. He is a respected veteran who was fitting in well with the club. We send out our get well wishes to him for a speedy recovery.

There has been a recent plea in Giants Nation for the team to bench right tackle David Diehl.

The veteran offensive lineman, Diehl was sidelined Week 2 with a knee injury and replaced with Sean Locklear through Week 9.

With Locklear at right tackle, the Giants -- coincidentally or not -- went 5-1 and considered his play Pro Bowl-worthy.

Injuries have the Giants changing their lineup by the day. At RB, we have already seen the team elevate electric rookie David Wilson into the starting lineup. With Ahmad Bradshaw to be more limited than ever with a hand injury, Wilson will get to strut his stuff early Friday night vs the Bears. The Giants are being cautious, but keep in mind, they didn't draft Wilson to watch...

"Any time you get a rookie, every game, every practice, they?re learning," Eli Manning told reporters yesterday. "The more reps you can get them, especially with the first group, what we?re doing, different things, changing things, more audibles, he?s got to be put in that situation on a whim. He?s got to know exactly what his assignment is, and what?s going on. You have to throw that at him a little bit, see how he adjusts, see how quickly the game is played at this level, and how you have to know the offense like the back of your hand."
