During the first day of organized team activities Wednesday, the team revealed a new defensive tackle rotation amid off-season signing and draft picks.
With Chris Canty now a member of the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens and Rocky Bernard gone, Linval Joseph is one of only a few veterans who remain on the roster from last season.

The Giants had seven picks in this weekend's draft, adding depth to a number of key positions, including offensive and defensive line, running back and the secondary. Of course, a position that remained untouched was linebacker.

Rogers was expected to contribute significantly along the Giants' defensive line last season, but the 13-year veteran was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 31 with a blood clot.
Reese drafted Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, Matthias Kiwanuka and Jason Pierre-Paul, all of whom have been productive NFL players.
But it seems that to start this season, the Giants defensive front just can?t muster a consistent attack against opposing quarterbacks.

With the upstate portion of training camp officially over, the Giants are back in New Jersey where they can sleep tight in their own beds for the rest of the year. The mattresses at UAlbany were being blamed for just about everything, from being too small to even being the cause of back injuries.
?We?re big humans. Every bed is small,? TE Martellus Bennett told reporters yesterday. ?You can?t put a damn dinosaur in a twin-sized bed. ... A normal-sized human jumps into a regular-sized bed and it fits perfectly. Large, big humans jump in a regular-sized bed, the bed?s too small. My back doesn't hurt. My back feels great. I have a great back."

Chris Canty, Linval Joseph, Marvin Austin, Rocky Bernard and Markus Kuhn are being joined by the 350 lb 12-year vet, Shaun Rogers - a former Pro Bowler who the team will use to fill gaps (no pun intended).
The 33 year-old Rogers is being counted on to rub off some knowledge on the younger players and to defray the possible loss of Canty (knee), who has still not been cleared to practice by the medical staff.

With the season opener against the Cowboys a little bit more than a month away, there will plenty of storylines and position battles to watch as the Giants open up camp in Albany.
There will be a few players with something to prove. That being said, here are five Giants in need of good training camp.
Flashy free agent acquisitions and trades have never been a priority for the Giants, and this offseason was no exception. Martellus Bennett and Keith Rivers were among the more notable new faces to hop on board the reigning SuperBowl champions? title defense effort, while perhaps the most impressive personnel move was the restructuring of Osi Umenyiora?s contract, and the way that his teammates, coaches and support group encouraged him to take a hometown discount.
