- After two consecutive rainouts, Rutgers baseball is hoping to get their 3:30 game at Bainton Field against Iona on Thursday. Freshman Ryan Fleming (2-0, 6.89 ERA) will make his ninth start of the season against Iona. The left-hander has wins over Fordham and Lafayette, both home appearances. The Scarlet Knights are 11-4 overall in home games this season.

-?The Rutgers softball team has already lost 10 games due to inclement weather this season, and will try to get their game in on Thursday as they head ti LIU-Brooklyn. The Scarlet Knights (25-16, 8-7 AAC) have won four straight, but have not played since last weekend.

?MCU Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn, was the site of the eighth annual Celebrity Softball Challenge presented by Celebrity Sweat. The game was played July 12 and featured New York Giants? players Justin Tuck, Justin Pugh, Matt McCants and Justin Trattou.

Team Tuck took on Team Nelly, led by hip-hop singer Nelly ? spokesman for Celebrity Sweat and a top-notch baseball player back in high school ? in a competitive but rain-soaked game. The game ended in a 10-10 tie after five innings.
