There are a lot of Jets fans concerned about the production of newly added Plaxico Burress. Twisted ankles aside, I was one worried Jets fan. This video made me sleep a little easier at night.... What, your sleep isn't interrupted by the production questions surrounding newly added Jets players??

A few weeks after Plax was released from prison he approached the Sports Science crew and asked to be put to the test. He showed up alone and ready to go. According to host John Brenkus, Plax's jumping and core abilities actually increased over the two years he was away from the game. This, in large part to Burress's focus on working out his legs and core muscles while incarcerated; muscle groups largely ignored while he was active.

Its a fascinating video to watch, you can see the whole thing HERE.

Some people will bet on anything these days......

Prop bets - or proposition bets - have been around since the beginning of time. They are wager opportunities that organically arise during special events, such as the Super Bowl.

For instance, when David confronted Goliath, some prop bets could have been: how many stones will it take to bring Goliath down? Which way will he fall - forward or backward? Etc, etc, etc....

Eli Manning has been taking a few hits this season for his 25 INTs and the fact that his Giants failed to make the playoff for the second consecutive season, despite going 18-14 over that span.

Solace can be found for Eli, however, in Bloomberg BusinessWeek's Power 100 which ranks the most powerful athletes in the world.

Brother Peyton is No.1, but Eli is the top NY-based athlete on the list at No.17.? The Yankees' Derek Jeter is second at No. 26.

The Jets' recent success has taken a bite into the Giants' hold over the NY football populace, but they are still a ways away from reaching the core.

The fence-sitters have jumped over to the Jets side for the time being which has drawn the two teams closer in popularity, but the Giants still have the upper hand.

The proof is in the ticket-sales pudding. The Giants attached PSLs to every seat they sold. The Jets only required PSL agreements of their high-end and lower level ticket holders.

The New York Jets don?t just talk trash like some teams. No, for them, it?s done in such a bold and brash manner, it?s more like ?brash-talking.?

And, when you do as much ?brash-talking? as the New York Jets have done, it sometimes takes shocking the football world to back it up.

The Jets (13-5) did just that on Sunday, with the biggest turnaround (49 points) from the regular season to the postseason, against the same opponent, in the same year, in NFL history.

According to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk........

Center Shaun O'Hara has pulled out of the Pro Bowl since he will undergo surgery. O'Hara had ankle and foot injuries and played in just six games this season. Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil will take his roster spot on the NFC Pro Bowl team..

It is absolutely the right move here for O'Hara......knowing the kind of guy he is, there's no way he feels he's worthy of the spot after only playing in six games this year.? Plus, he's not physically up to it and needs to get his health issues in order before next season.

The Eagles host the Packers this afternoon in a game between two 10-6 teams that beat the Giants, who also finished 10-6.

And whatever body part coach Tom Coughlin suggests critics can kiss, he will watch today?s game with a notepad while the two teams that benefited most from the Giants? final three weeks begin the postseason.
