Syracuse QB Eric Dungey completed 32 of 53 passes for 265 yards and threw a touchdown and an interception. Steve Ishmael and Ervin Phillips led Syracuse's passing attack in a game when Dungey ran the ball 13 times and scored a touchdown.
WR Devin Butler also saw time at quarterback Syracuse, completing two passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.
But Syracuse's defense was unable to slow down LSU's running game, allowing RB Darrel Williams to gain 92 yards and a score. As a team, LSU had 151 total rushing yards in the game.
Backed by a strong running game, LSU QB Danny Etling only had to complete 10 passes for 188 yards and two ouchdowns.
Syracuse will travel to face NC State on Saturday at 12:20 p.m.
