The 17-year-old Bazley, a 6-foot-8, 195-pound forward from Ohio, is ranked the No. 9 prospect by ESPN. He scored 11 points in Wednesday's McDonald's All-American Game.

Syracuse's run as an 11-seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament came to an end as the Orange failed to advance to the Elite Eight on Friday night.
Tyus Battle had 19 points and Oshae Brissett scored 15 to go along with seven rebounds, as the second-seeded Duke Blue Devils hung on late for a 69-65 win over Syracuse in the Sweet 16 in Omaha.
Both teams were aggressive against the other's zone defense, with lots of shots going in around the rim. Marvin Bagley III starred for Duke and finished with 22 points and eight rebounds. Grayson Allen had 15 points and eight assists in the win.

TCU (21-12) is still without an NCAA Tournament victory since 1987, when coach Jamie Dixon was a player. This was the school's first appearance since 1998, and it was short-lived.

STINGY: Syracuse held Arizona State to a season low in points in a 60-56 victory over the Sun Devils on Wednesday night in the First Four. The Orange had to win that game to make it to the round of 64.
THEY SAID IT: The Orange haven't had much time to rest after the win over Arizona State, and TCU didn't know its opponent until that game was over. "Quick turnaround as far as knowing who we're playing for us," Dixon said. "So really unique and first time I've been through it. We're playing the winner of the play-in game. ... You get some time, but not time to focus on just one team." >> Read More

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) Oshae Brissett and Tyus Battle each scored 17 points and Syracuse rallied to beat No. 18 Clemson 55-52 on Saturday to remain in the hunt for a postseason berth.

While No. 18 Clemson looks to cap one of the finest seasons in program history by clinching a double bye in the ACC Tournament, Syracuse is looking for that elusive signature win to boost its fading NCAA Tournament hopes.
On the final day of the ACC's regular season, the Tigers (22-7, 11-6 ACC) visit the Orange (18-12, 7-10) at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.
On Wednesday, Clemson earned its program-record 11th ACC win and tied a school mark with its 15th home win of the season by rallying to defeat Florida State 76-63 at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, S.C. Redshirt junior guard Marcquise Reed notched his 10th 20-point outing of the season with 22 points on 7-for-11 shooting as the Tigers recorded their 22nd win -- the most since the 2013-14 team won 23.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Marvin Bagley III had 19 points in his return from a sprained knee, and No. 5 Duke beat Syracuse 60-44 on Saturday night for its fifth straight win.

DURHAM, N.C. -- Grayson Allen has become Duke's headline player again as the fifth-ranked Blue Devils continue to pick up steam.
In the second-to-last home game of his career, the senior guard is bound to be a focal point when Duke takes on visiting Syracuse on Saturday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Second-place Duke (23-5, 11-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) is out of contention for the top seed in the ACC Tournament. Earlier Saturday, Virginia could wrap up the outright regular-season title by winning at last-place Pittsburgh.

Theo Pinson scored a career-high 23 points, Joel Berry II added 18, including the tiebreaking layup with 1:36 left, and No. 10 North Carolina held off Syracuse 78-74 on Wednesday night.
North Carolina (22-7, 11-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) has won six straight, but this was the most difficult against a team fighting for its postseason life. Syracuse (18-10, 7-8) was coming off an important road victory over Miami and was teetering on the NCAA Tournament bubble entering the game.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) Tyus Battle overcame a poor shooting game by scoring six points in the final 86 seconds, and the Syracuse Orangemen's stingy zone helped them beat Miami 62-55 Saturday.
Syracuse limited the Hurricanes to a season-low 34-percent shooting, and Miami was often forced into bad shots at long range, going 7 for 31 (23 percent) from beyond the arc.
The Orangemen (18-9, 7-7 Atlantic Coast Conference) have won three of their past four road games. Miami (18-8, 7-7) lost at home for the second time this week, and has dropped three games in a row overall.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) Markell Johnson's 3-pointer with 33 seconds to go broke a 70-70 tie and North Carolina State went on to defeat Syracuse 74-70 Wednesday.

Allerik Freeman led the Wolfpack (17-9, 7-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) with 17 points. Johnson had 16 and Sam Hunt, who hit four big 3s in the second half, added 14. The Wolfpack, who broke a two-game losing streak, had seven 3s in the final 20 minutes. >> Read more

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) De'Andre Hunter scored 15 points, Kyle Guy added 14 and second-ranked Virginia smothered struggling Syracuse 59-44 on Saturday.

The largest home crowd of the season is expected for Syracuse when it hosts No. 2 Virginia on Saturday.
The fans will likely not be entertained by an up-tempo, high-scoring, fast-break show. Defense will be theme when the Cavaliers (21-1, 10-0 ACC) play the Orange (15-7, 4-5) in front of an expected crowd of more than 26,000 at the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse's top home attendance this season is 24,304 against Notre Dame.

ATLANTA (AP) Josh Okogie scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half, and fellow guard Tadric Jackson added 15 points Wednesday and Georgia Tech snapped a four-game losing streak with a 55-51 win over Syracuse.
Tech (11-11, 4-5 ACC) used just six players, with Jackson as the only sub, and Syracuse (15-7, 4-5) deployed seven. Guard Tyus Battle scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pace the Orange, who lost for the first time in four games.
The Yellow Jackets never trailed, and led 24-21 at halftime, powered chiefly by an 11-2 run early that included 3-point shots by Okogie and Jose Alvarado and a three-point play by Ben Lammers on consecutive possessions. >> Read more

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Briain Angola scored 24 points, including five in the second overtime, and Christ Koumadje added a career-high 23 as No. 24 Florida State defeated Syracuse 101-90 in double overtime on Saturday.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Come Monday, No. 23 Florida State -- losers of two straight -- likely will find themselves on the outside looking in of The Associated Press Top 25 poll.
But the Seminoles will get one final shot to impress voters before they fill out their ballots this weekend.
Florida State (12-4 overall, 1-3 ACC) hosts Syracuse (12-5, 1-3) on Saturday in a duel of ACC cellar dwellers. Florida State and Syracuse are tied for second-to-last in the standings after great starts to their nonconference schedules that has not translated into conference success.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) Kyle Guy scored 22 points, De'Andre Hunter added 15 and No. 3 Virginia beat Syracuse 68-61 on Tuesday night.

Currently in the midst of a three-game homestand, No. 3 Virginia sits atop the ACC standings and welcomes Syracuse into John Paul Jones Arena on Tuesday night.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) T.J. Gibbs scored 18 points and his steal in the final minute set up Rex Pflueger's decisive layup with 2.6 seconds left as Notre Dame rallied to beat Syracuse 51-49 on Saturday, its fifth straight victory.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) Bryant Crawford scored 19 points to help Wake Forest beat Syracuse 73-67 on Wednesday night.
The Demon Deacons (8-6, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) went ahead for good on Terrence Thompson's scooping layup with 1:56 left. Wake Forest then did just enough to hang on, earning its first win in six tries against the Orange (12-3, 1-1) despite missing five final-minute free throws. >> Read more

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) Jaylen Adams scored 23 points, 21 in the first half, and St. Bonaventure withstood a furious Syracuse rally to win its first-ever game in the Carrier Dome in 11 tries, defeating Syracuse 60-57 in overtime Friday night.
The Bonnies (10-2) led by as many as 13 in the second half but Syracuse (10-2) closed regulation on a 15-2 run to tie the game at 53. Paschal Chukwu, a career 48 percent shooter from the foul line, tied the game on a layup and foul shot with 1:18 to go in regulation. Tyus Battle missed a potential game-winning layup with two seconds to go in regulation and Oshae Brissett missed a put-back at the buzzer.

The Syracuse Orange (11-1) look to take down the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (9-2) in the Carrier Dome at 7 p.m. Friday night.
The Orange's best player so far this season -- sophomore G Tyus Battle -- was limited in a heart-racing win over Buffalo in Syracuse's last contest. Battle, who averages 20.7 points per game, only dropped 13 in the game. They will look to get him going in this one.
St. Bonaventure features a dangerous duo of guards in Matt Mobley and Jaylen Adams. The 6-foot-3 Mobley averages 18.4 points a game, while the 6-foot-1 Adams is averaging 17.2 points so far this season. These two seniors are going to be a problem for Syracuse if they can't match up well, especially on the perimeter.
With the Orange barely getting past the Bulls in their last contest, they will be sure to look for a hot start and dominate on their home court.

A quick take on Syracuse's gutsy 81-74 win over Buffalo Tuesday evening at the Dome:

Washington, D.C. - A quick take on Syracuse's incredible comeback, in its thrilling 86-79 overtime win against Georgetown at a spirited Capital One Arena on Saturday afternoon:
WHAT HAPPENED: The 'Cuse (9-1) played like it forgot to wake up from its week long break for final exams until the final 5:00, coming all the way back from 12 down to tie the game, then dominated overtime to hand the Hoyas (8-1) their first loss of the season.
ANALYSIS: At times it seemed like there was more action during the TV timeouts and at halftime with students shooting for free books, individuals being honored by Georgetown for longtime service, and an agile unicycle performer spinning around the court, as both teams struggled putting the ball in the basket before the exciting second half SU comeback. Tyus Battle and Oshae Brissett led the furious rally combining for 49 points. << Read more

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) Tyus Battle scored 24 points, Oshae Brissett added a career-high 20 and Syracuse defeated Colgate 72-58 on Saturday.

MIAMI -- Scoring balance is something to appreciate, but when the averages soar into the ranges achieved by the No. 2 Kansas starters, the possibilities are even more encouraging.
Each starter averages at least 13.5 points per game, contributing to a 94.5-points per game average that ranks sixth nationally and a nation-best scoring margin of 33 points.
Bill Self, however, issued an advisory as the No. 2 Jayhawks (6-0) prepared for a matchup Saturday against Syracuse (6-0) in the final of the Hoophall Miami Invitational at American Airlines Arena.

A quick take on Syracuse's 72-70 win against Maryland on Monday evening at the Carrier Dome:
WHAT HAPPENED: Trailing 66-65 with 1:04 left, Tyus Battle drained a baseline 3-pointer to give the Orange the lead. On Maryland's ensuing possession, Anthony Cowan committed an uncharacteristically unforced error, and Battle responded with two more free throws. Kevin Huerter, an upstate New York native, drained a 3-pointer (a recurring theme throughout) to bring the Terps back within one, but Battle broke away for a slam with five seconds left, and Syracuse won a wildly entertaining back-and-forth game. >> Read more

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) AJ Dillon rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns, and Boston College beat Syracuse 42-14 on Saturday in the season finale for both teams.
It was the fifth straight loss for Syracuse (4-8, 2-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) since its scintillating upset of then-No. 2 Clemson just over a month ago. Boston College (7-5, 4-4) has won five of six.
Syracuse was coming off consecutive lopsided losses to Wake Forest and Louisville in which the Orange allowed 120 points and a whopping 782 yards rushing, a perfect scenario for the Eagles and their star freshman tailback.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) Syracuse coach Dino Babers is facing Senior Day on Saturday with a lot of pent-up emotion on his mind because he'll be losing several key players to graduation and the Orange won't be playing in the postseason.
Among the seniors who will play in their final college game are linebackers Zaire Franklin and Parris Bennett, and their contributions have been significant. Franklin, only the second three-time captain in program history, has 303 career tackles and Bennett has eclipsed 100 tackles two straight seasons to bring their combined total for career tackles to 562.
"I think about Zaire and Parris and the people who are on this football team and what they have gone through," said Babers, who replaced Scott Shafer two years ago. "They've been a big part of this transition, and they're going to be part of the success that we're going to have in the future. Hopefully, we can send them out the right way." << Read more

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson had another big game against Syracuse, accounting for 381 yards and four touchdowns and becoming the school's career yardage leader while leading a rain-delayed 56-10 rout on Saturday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Syracuse coach Dino Babers remembers how Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson ran, threw and even leapt over the Orange last season.
Jackson's hurdle of a Syracuse defender for a touchdown was an indelible image during a 62-28 victory that paved his way toward winning the Heisman Trophy. The Orange want to prevent him from wreaking similar havoc on Saturday in another signature performance.
"He ran all over us, and he threw all over us," Babers said. "He got both parts in last year and hopefully he doesn't get both parts in this year to the degree he did last year."

Tyus Battle scored a career-high 28 points, including 23 in the second half, two other Syracuse players scored in double figures and the Orange defeated Iona 71-62 on Tuesday.
