3/5/17 | 2:16PM: Alain Vigneault said today, "really, this transpired after I spoke to Gorts early this morning before he left for the GM meetings. This is the first time since I have been here that money wise we have some room and leverage and right now with our current situation of only 12 healthy forwards and 6 healthy D, talked about giving ourselves some more options. We could do it money wise and there is no 23-man roster. Keeping that in mind when Gorts and I talked, Tanner has been playing hard, playing well. We saw Kampf last week and it's giving us as coaches a few more players to make some decisions, that is what we are going to do."
