There may not be any baseball going on at the moment, but the Mets made a few roster moves on Friday.
INF Andres Gimenez, RHP Tyler Bashlor and C Ali Sanchez have all been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse.
Gimenez was having a so-so spring with a .214/.290/.393 slash line with two doubles and one homer over 14 games. His lefty bat did show some improved pop, though, which is an encouraging sign.
Bashlor had a rough go down in Port St. Lucie with a 11.57 ERA over 4.2 innings. He allowed six earned on 11 hits (three homers) while striking out four and one walk. As for Sanchez, he had one double out of his eight at-bats in nine games.
